I still remember the blue text cues of Air Supply's karaoke on Sunday morning

I still remember the exact moment when the CD had its hiccups

I still remember my mom looked at me in awe after i sang along to the fastest verse of Making Love (Out of Nothing at All)

I still remember being a child was more human

Look at me now, mom

Feeling extremely scared amidst the chaos of things

I can only see;

The raging silence of a room,

The whispers of spaces in between,

And the hidden stares of disgust between each other,

These people are dangerous, mom.

Not because they're loud, but the exact opposite

These people are dangerous, mom

They're half smart, half oblivious

Obliviously proud to say the obvious

Some of them will pretend they're in awe

When hearing those known-various-verses

Or maybe too half smart to see through the mischievous

Look at me now, mom

Taking pride of being the strongest machine

Who doesn't spare time to admit that "I'm tired".

I smiled when they admit they're tired

I've known worse;

Like when dad picked up the plate

For our last supper

I've known worse;

Like when you were scraping walls

Trying to get ahold of your sanity,

Or what's left of it.

We've known worse.

So i just smiled.

These people are dangerous, mom

And I'm genuinely scared.
